More about me

I was once married and am now single. My son lives with me and works and attends college full time. We do bump into one another every now and again. Social issues have always been important to me, my degree is in Sociology from UMass and I work for a social service agency. I do have strong beliefs, however, when not trying to save the world, I do also enjoy good humor, good friendships, and anything filled with good spirit in my life. I love music and have since I was able to make my way over to the family record player and listen in amazement as a young child....I still listen with that same amazement to this day. This Lovin' Spoonful song describes my eternal love of music:  

Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart, how the music can free her whenever it starts and it's magic, if the music is groovy it makes you feel happy like an old time movie.            

I'll tell you about the magic and it'll free your soul but it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll. If you believe in magic don't bother to choose if it's jug band music or rhythm & blues.

Just go and listen, it'll start with a smile, it won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try. Your feet start tapping and you can't seem to find how you got there, so just blow your mind.

If you believe in magic, come along with me, we'll dance until morning 'til there's just you and me and maybe, if the music is right, I'll meet you tomorrow sort of late at night and we'll go dancing baby then you'll see, how the magic's in the music and the music's in me.

Favorite Music

I love my rock music, songs are the soundtrack of my life. I also enjoy most all types of music. My earliest memories are of playing rock and roll 45's on the family record player and sitting with my sister in front of our black and white television watching (screaming at) the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Favorite Movies

To Kill A Mockingbird, Apocalypse Now, The Deer Hunter, Wonder Boys, The Contender, Shawshank Redemption and many of the old classics.
