Places I've been

I lived most of my early life in Gulfport or Biloxi, MS except for the tour of duty my Dad had in NC & MO while he was in the Army. After I was grown I lived a short while in Killeen, TX, visited Louisiana and have traveled to Fl, Ga (lived in Atlanta for awhile)met my hubby and moved to Valley, Alabama in 1982 and lived here ever since. We have traveled to Ga, Tn, SC, NC, KY, VA, WV, NJ, MA, DE, MD, and NY. My favorite places are places with mountains. I am especially fond of the Smokies.

I am woman, wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, mother-in-law, I am friend or foe depending on your point of view, I am neither young or old, good or bad. I am the culmination of all I have done and all I have been and I hope in the outcome I am a better person for having been here or there. I enjoy silence, laughter and friends as well as occasional solitude, I enjoy grandchildren and family, I am not sure if I am a good friend though I mean to be. I am often melancholy, sometimes moody, sometimes down right grouchy but they say I have a good heart. I hope so! I love to watch the sunset and see the majesty of mountains. I am who I am, as Popeye says, and that is all that I am. :)

I enjoy cooking, reading, computing and shopping for bargains! I enjoy people who are sincere and honest and I try to be that myself. We are only human after all.

I attend the Upper Room Church in Valley, a inter-denominational church and a good place to go. I love the Lord and hope to serve Him better today than yesterday and still better tommorrow.

Star Wars, The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, X-men, Spiderman, The Wedding Planner, My Best Friends Wedding, Gone With The Wind, The Kid, All Disney Movies especially animated, too many to name! I do not however, watch horror, vulgarity or excessive bad language.

Favorite Books

Ashes In the Wind, While Passion Sleeps, When God Whispers, Your Name, Hinds Feet on High Places, The Wheel of Time Series, Mercedes Lackey, Nora Roberts, Carol Finch, and the list goes on for miles, I can read most anything except horror or graphic violence. I simply love to read.

I love the mountains more than anywhere else, part of me still longs for the beach party days but I talk her out of it :)

I love my dogs and my kitten. I like any cuddley animal but I don't want any type of reptile anywhere near me!
