GO ahead Shake that Georgia peach tree
The outside all fuzzy and inside all sweet
Put to your lips that sweet flavor of labor
That it has grown for you to sit and eat

All you have to do is peel back that fuzzy layer
And taste the sweet nectar that is held inside
The way it fits and feels in the palm of your hand
Could be the favorite of all the fruits I have tried

The juice slowly runs from your hand to your arm
As you stand back and try to avoid the drips
You don't want lose any of that Georgia flavor
Go after every last drop as you bring it to your lips

Oh yeah just sitting under the shade of that tree
With the pride of Georgia resting in your hand
Smiling and knowing what you are about to enjoy
And when they are out of season enjoy them canned

When the peach is done the toe sucks on the pit
Wants to get ever last delightful taste out of it
Then we plant it in the ground and then we wait
And we think about that Georgia peach we just ate
