The two greatest things I am proud of include adopting our 2 beautiful little girls in 2004 and recently writing a book about my celebrity grandmother.  As a Boomer, I fight the cultural pressures that sometimes make us feel some things cannot be done because we are too old. 

At 38, I finally had found the man to marry.  At 41, I left corporate America and started a business with my husband. At 44, we made a family through adoption.

Lucky for me, I have an unbelievable role model that makes me realize what's possible.  Elsa Brehm Hoffmann is 101, beautiful, active, helpful to others, and lives with no regrets.  She was always a local celebrity, but since her interview with Barbara Walters last year on the longevity show, she receives national attention for her inspiring example. She drives, does her own banking, and is out and about daily.  She aims to make at least one person happy everyday, even if in a very small way.  See more on elsasownbluezone.com and adlercentenarians.org.
