College in Meadville PA, Ames IA and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then a stint teaching psych at Furman University in Greenville SC. Did a Big Road Trip in 1977 covering 26,000 miles in a loop around the US (9.5 months). Business takes me around - 30 countries so far, some many times (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa) and some really neat places like Mauritius and Trinidad. Travel is an enjoyable part of my work: seminars and workshops. Especially when it's done on Other People's Money...

Well, if you have read any of my posts, especially the ones to the Progressives group, you will find that I am no stinking Conservative and that I am up to my eyeballs with the dishonest and disengenuous Administration of Bush / Cheney / Rove and the rest of the neo-cons. Frankly, I hope that the international courts will persue these individuals as war criminals and that the Congress will at least hear out the Articles of Impeachment as brought forth by Denis Kucinich. The people of this country have been badly represented by the Far Right in the past dozen years and this Administration has behaved criminally, IMHO.

Okay, guess that is a heck of a start, eh? But I do feel strongly about it. We should not be in Iraq and should be spending that money on education and health care. Our children are going to pay the price for all this and I am not sure that I will be able to leave behind enough financial resources for them -- they will need all that they can get!

That said, who is this guy:

You would find me to be a romantic, emotional and honest guy with a love of high adventure and adrenaline who will speak his mind and not avoid controversy. Of significant interest is finding a sparkling and lovely woman who enjoys a good bottle of wine, riding bicycles, making passionate love and having fun conversation and who wants to cuddle a lot (but not continually!).

I am a card-carrying ACLU guy, own my own business and travel all over the world -- I am also very much a liberal in my attitudes and politics. Educated but not snooty, and I love challenges. I play fair and have a high level of loyalty to my friends.

So, you can help me here in Eons to have fun, meet other people, tell a few jokes and get in minor kinds of trouble for speaking my mind. You'll find me generally open and extroverted -- and I AM searching for a serious relationship and willing to invest time and energy in searching that out.

 

Favorite Movies

The Search for Red October I still like to watch (the book was great!). Eddie and The Cruisers / Lord of The Rings. I generally do not like tear-jerkers because my eyes water -- I will NEVER see Old Yeller again.

Favorite TV Shows

South Park on occasion and North Carolina Basketball. The CSIs. No others really jump out, but I do not watch a lot of network TV. No "reality shows." I DO watch a lot of movies on cable, though...

Activities

bicycling, gardening, pool / billiards, taking a long hot bath while reading a book. Riding my CBR crotch rocket.

Favorite Charities

None are preferred. My colleges. United Way on occasion. The IRS, for shure. (I do not support any churches...)

Favorite Music

Coldplay, Eagles, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Staind, Creed and others of the modern era, plus old NY and Philly accapella (like in Rocky), old hard rock, stuff like don henley, jackson browne, and CSNY.

Favorite Books

Action books: dale brown, tom clancy, and those kinds of novels. I occasionally will pick up a classic just for the heck of it. I buy paperbacks and hit the library. I read a book a week or so and a lot of magazines.

Al Gore, Nobel Prize Winner!! Michael Moore. People who step up and advocate saving the planet. Anyone against this stupid "War" in Iraq or Bush's AFolly, this "Fight for Freedom and Democracy". The Move-On folks who are trying to make a change in the way things are done.
