Before You Go Any Further, PLEASE Listen To The Video Songs I've Posted. I DON'T Subject Them To The Reader Upon Casual Stumbling Onto My Profile, But WHO I Am Is Directly Related To What They Have To Say....
"About Me" Take Two*
Shakespeare said, "Brevity is The Soul Of Wit".
My previous entry here should have been titled,
"Verbosity is the Corpse Of Wit".
Let me re-address this Intro following the rules* this time.
I will try to be brief, but I cannot commit to 30 seconds.
Really, can any of us do that and do ourselves justice?
Do we deserve Justice?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am foolishly honest and brutally introspective. I "pick things to death". I am generous and trusting to a fault. I am a self-centered, ("But ENOUGH about YOU; let's talk about ME".) melodramatic DramaQueen. I am blessed with many true friends that I have had for lengths of time ranging between 18 to 42 years, so I must have SOME redeeming qualities. I DO know how to listen and have occasionally even been able to give advice to my friends that benefited them. I've had a PACK of Hellhounds on my trail for the past 4 years of my life.
But pain is relative...
Trying to remember where I left something, camping, collecting 1st Ed. hardbacks, torturing my cats, art, ebaying my life, cooking, collecting vintage clothing (especially kimonos & weird hats), spiders, job hunting, target practice w/my S&W .357, reading, writing, 'rithmetic~(no, NOT the rithmetic part), live music, dead music, fantasizing about JUST EXACTLY how I would allocate the money if I hit the Lottery, sleeping (I'm not sure that actually qualifies as an "activity"), singing LOUDLY & BADLY while driving my old, trashy Lincoln Towncar over the speed limit with the volume on my cd player set to "Destroy Speakers" decibel level (WOO!UPDATE!: the front right speaker now sounds like not ONE but a WHOLE PACK of playing cards in bicycle spokes!)& Entertaining~I have a great "party" house
I'm a BIBLIOPHILE. There is no fucking way on earth I could get this into "800 Characters" On my myspace, I actually have it broken down by SUBJECTS, TITLES, and AUTHORS. SOME of my TREASURED First Edition Hardbacks include: Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, The Milagro Beanfield Wars, Amusing Ourselves To Death, Mists Of Avalon, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Hotel Detective, and a host of many others. What can I say? I worked in books for years. The mantra of the bookperson IS: "Bookselling is a noble profession. Bookselling Is A Noble Profession!! BOOKSELLING IS A NOBLE PROFESSION!!!" muttered under one's breath with eyes spinning while idiots ask you, "Where can I find the book "One Hundred Years Of Solid Food"? & you DON'T laugh in their faces! Because making people lose face is uncool
