More about me

This is my sixteenth year of retirement, and I like to think that I am still going, maybe not like the Everready Bunny, but at least going.  I walk two to three miles almost every morning, taking the older dog with me.  Except for old age, I have no immediately threatining health problems.  I live with a wife of more than 50 years, a four month old puppy who is almost house trained, and a five year old bitch who is now my old dog.  We get up and walk early at this time of year to avoid the Florida heat - usually starting at 6:30 to 7:00 and taking about an hour.  I used to walk down to the dock in Stansel Park and sit at the end to watch the sun rise behind me, but it's not far enough and I lose the exercise time sitting, so now it's always where there is  pavement and we can move along.  We have three children (a boy and two girls) and four grandchildren.  They all came from the youngest girl, who is only 41.  After I retired we lived in an RV for 11 years, and eventually wound up mostly making a big look around the US to visit the kids, but bought a house and settled down in February of 2004.  Now it gets boring even though I volunteer in three organizations and the BW in one.  We're lonesome compared to when we lived in an RV.
