Places I've been

I live in Sherman Oaks, a suburb of Los Angeles. This is the center of the universe to me because my family and friends are here. When I took a cruise to Alaska it became my favorite vacation destination. I was stunned by the beauty of its virgin wilderness and the majesty of its icebergs.

I'm an award-winning freelance journalist and author. For forty-eight years my passion has been writing about "ordinary" people who have overcome huge obstacles. Many of these stories have been published worldwide.

Four television movies have been based on true life dramas I've written, including Gracie’s Choice, The Lifetime Channel; When You Remember Me, ABC; Remembrance Of Love, NBC; and Empty Cradle, ABC.  

My late husband, Jerry LeBlanc, and I wrote Suddenly Rich, (Prentice-Hall, Englewood Cliffs, 1978), exploring the reactions, behaviors, joys and traumas of ordinary people on whom fortune suddenly smiled.

I've completed all but the last chapter of my book "The Extraordinary Lives Of Ordinary People".   My book is an anthology of my most dramatic stories.  In the last chapter I include the advice of experts on how to overcome adversity. I'll keep you posted on its publication date. I'm also planning speaking engagements on this powerful topic.

Dancing is another of my passions. My favorite dance is Argentine tango.  But I also love ballroom and old rock n roll.

I love most music, especially opera, Broadway, blues and Yiddish music.  For many years, in addition to my writing, I produced opera, Broadway, and Yiddish music parties. I hired professional entertainers who performed in beautiful private homes where the public could attend. 

For the past nineteen years I've been bringing professional entertainers to perform free at nursing homes in the Los Angeles area. The musical troupe I organized for this is called Cabaret.

I love to dance the Argentine tango. I consider the dance to be among the best things on the planet.
