We live in Kansas but travel all over the country. (My husband is a truck driver). Whenever we get somewhere interesting we rent a car and go exploring. We apparently both have some sort of gypsy gene, so we are perfect for each other. While on the road I knit (my poor family has to wear the stuff), play the banjo (just a beginner) and listen to audiobooks.
I am the mother of three, stepmother of three and grandmother (do I feel old!) of two.
I also have kicked cancer's butt three times over the past five years and am currently in remission.Woohoo!!!!

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from someone else. When half the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.. Dr. Adrian Rogers 1931-2005

Hope to see you posting in the group soon! Tell us how Chanute is, or the over the road travel. My dad was a truck driver - I know how that goes.
Hugs,
Kay
