Hmmm, about me, huh?  Well, here goes.  I enjoy life.  Maybe a bit too much.  In school, I was a dreamer.  My mind was never on the proper subjects.  I did graduate successfully.  There was one teacher that I'm sure by now is stoking the furnaces of hell.  It was teachers convention and three of us classmates went out small game hunting.  We were 14-15 years old.  Back then we grew up with guns and hunting.  Someone started shooting at us.  They shot me in the shoulder and one of my best friends was shot in the head.  They did find out who did it, but when I finally was released from the hospital, the teacher accused me of killing my best friend.  I think that was pretty much the start of a lot of things.  When I was 18 I went to work in Iron Ore mines in Northern Minnesota after which I went into the Navy.  I went to several schools including Electronics "A" school, Shipboard Firefighting and Radar school.  I served aboard the USS Hornet CVS-12.  On one cruise we did pick up an unmanned space capsule and I saw buckets of body parts of men I knew come back aboard after a plane crash.  Another cruise overseas we were on Yankee Station, Tonkin Gulf, Vietnam.  There, we had a plane shot down.  I created a website dedicated to those brave crewmen at www.uss-hornet.us.  After the Navy I spent a long time trying to find a job where I belonged.  It ended up to be at a taconite mine in Northern MN again.  There I was a Millwright, Parts Runner, Ultra heavy Equipment Operator among other things.  I retired in 1997 and on Christmas Eve 1999 received an email from someone who tried to sign my guestbook on my website.  This someone ended up to be my wife, Evelyn to whom I got married on August 12, 2000.  Her brother David and his wife Elaine, sent us to England for a two week honeymoon.  And that's the condensed version of my life.

Activities

Water skiing, painting, hunting, fishing, handgun competition shooting, motorcycles, music, playing guitar, playing with my dogs, and many other things I can't think of right now. I just thought of something else I do and that's write novels. I've won the National Novel of the Month Award every year since 2003. Starting the first of November and thru the 30th you have to write a 50, 000 word novel. The last one is the best one I feel. I've got some proof reading to do before I check on getting it published.

Salvation Army, VFW and many others except for the Red Cross. I've had bad experiences with them!
