- More about me
-
I have a sense of humor, bohemian dress, and eclectic taste. I am passionate about my husband, my girls, our dogs (now 3!) & cat, the environment-Go Green, PEACE, social injustice, music, North Carolina authors, health & nutrition, financial freedom.
Tennis is my sport. In the summer when we are in Maine, my husband and I play non-USTA mixed doubles together. It's lots of fun and the competition is just my speed. However, in the fall and spring we go our separate ways on more competitive USTA teams.
Over the last 10 years or so I have been a substitute teacher first in the girls' nursery school then in the private school my children attended and where my husband still teaches 3rd grade. I went back to college to get certified to teach K-6 in public school and actually taught for one year as an AIG teacher, but the public school schedule did not overlap with the girls' and my husband's, so I did not return for a second year. To make a long story short: My family had to come first. It was a hard decision because I really liked teaching, but I know it all worked out for the best.
The past few years have steeled my resolve to have a flexible job. My parents are aged (both in their mid 80's) and need me to be able to visit them at a moment's notice. They live in NYC and we see them seldomly. That's how I finally became attracted to network marketing. The company USANA Health Sciences suits my nurturing nature. And, of course, the products are some of the best in North America. (Not my opinion, but that of 3rd party nutritionists).
