Places I've been

I grew up in and around Troy, NY. After graduating high school I when on to receive two under graduate degrees and a Master’s from The University of Iowa. After graduate school I moved to Philadelphia, PA. I lived in Philly for about fifteen years both teaching and working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer. I have also lived and worked in Southern California; Albuquerque, NM; Moscow, Russia; and Oslo, Norway. After moving to the DC area again started working as an Art Director for several magazines, but recently I have returned to teaching again. I have traveled to several times to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain for months at a time to play, explore, and study Spanish. I have also travel to England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and Canada.

More about me

I have a fourteen daughter, who lives with her mother in Fairfax, VA. She is the most important constant in my life and I love her to pieces. The other constant in my life is attending Quaker meeting most every Sunday for the past ten years.

I’ve studied martial arts for twenty-three years, was a long distance runner for decades, but these days I use my energy to dance, swim, walk and do art work.
