I respect the work of organized charities, but I personally prefer to help good people individually who are struggling so hard just to survive, with their integrity intact. I'm partial to the Salvation Army because they saved my life years ago when I was in a tough spot.

I like happy music regardless of the type. I'm not into nostalgia, i like whatever is the latest, newest. I love PINK, she's awesome. I admire her tough voice and choice of songs. I like Inya, Yanni, Harry Connick Jr, Alan Jackson (yay Georgia-boy), Big Little Town, John Jarvis...

Life is Beautiful, StepMom, Dr. Doolittle, Brother Bear. I love movies and would like to see every new one that comes out, but can't of course.

Almost anyone is my favorite people as long as they conduct themselves respectfully, modestly, striving to become the person God intended them to be, people who can appreciate their blessings, life & being part of it, can cook a good vegan meal and make me laugh. Make me laugh and I'll follow them anywhere!

My dogs! Leroy & Girl (choc lab & maltese) I love all animals, but I really love Boer goats which I've helped raise for the past 6 years. They are very affectionate and sweet.

One where the food tastes good, the mood is carefree and funny, and someone else does the cooking and dishes!

Who are your heroes?

Right now, my hero's are 12 young men, ages 11-12, from my hometown, who just won the Little League World Series. They are the finest group of athletes I've ever seen. They played great baseball, had fun doing it and beat Japan to become the World Champs. As if that weren't enough, the Japanese boys broke down in tears, distraught over losing, and our boys went to each one of them, put their arms around them, looked into their tearful eyes and comforted them. Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?

A little old widow lady in the doctors waiting room. We started talking and she very easily answered all my nosy questions about her life. She had been an Air Force nurse. I felt like a reporter or journalist interviewing her.

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

Looking over 50. And enjoying Barry Manilo's music! ; )

What is your dream vacation?

RVing across the USA and back or taking the Amtrack train across the USA and back. I'd like someday to visit all 50 states, and all the counties of Georgia.
