PaperThin

that would be me and I love it.

 5'7' and 100 lbs.

I have a thirst for knowledge and adventure; a passion for exploring new places and a weakness for tropical islands. Number One on my Wish List of Things to do is: visit the Taj Mahal.

I love the outdoors; strolling down the path; cruising down Lake Shore Dr. and just smelling the roses; I am no longer in a hurry.

I am a creative and outgoing individual  I am optimistic and I have a strong sense of ethics with old school values. I take friendships and partnerships seriously. Willing to accept a person for who they are and not for what they have.

I am romantic, and I love deep "meaningful" conversation. I laugh a lot, mostly at myself and my silly Cat.

For all those men who say:
“Why buy the cow”
when you can get the milk
for free?

Nowadays
80% of women
over 40
are against marriage.

Why?

Because women realize
it's not worth buying
an entire pig
just to get a little sausage!

Black Man - A Poem for You

The truth of the matter is
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Whether five-two or six-seven,
Yellow fabulous or
chocolate heaven
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Long and lean
With deep brown eyes
Wavy hair or dreds
With strong thick thighs
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Bald head with goatee
Cornrows or a fade
A little thick, a little thin
Oh the choices to be made
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Scholarly or not
Wall Street or hip hop
I'll sing your praises
To the mountain top
Head of the home
Provider and lover
Obedient son and
loving brother
There's nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

A mighty provider you've proven to be
Sacrificing your life to keep me free
Working for crumbs
When the table is bare
Praising the Lord and
Leading the family in prayer
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Holding my hand
When fear emerges
Remaining faithful, suppressing your urges
Proving your strength
By turning the other cheek
Having high hopes
When the situation is bleak
There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

Treating me like the queen
I was born to be
Never disrespecting,
dishonoring, or
disgracing me
Giving me credit when it is due
Oh, black man, how I honor you

There is nothing more beautiful
Than a black man

The Look of Real Love. . .
The look of Love

A Real Man

A Real Man is not one who has had sex with a thousand different women but one who can make love to the same woman a thousand different ways.

A Real Man is not controlled by his penis but his mind.

A Real Man not only respects women but respects himself.

A Real Man sees the true beauty in a woman, even if she does not look like a movie star or model.

A Real Man is confident but not arrogant.

A Real Man is compassionate to the plight of others.

A Real Man takes care of himself financially and does not expect a woman to wear the pants in the household.

These are just a few things that a Real man is.

Things I have learned

I've learned . . . that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned . . . that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned . . . that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other and just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned . . . that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for whom we become.

I've learned . . . that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned . . . that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned . . . that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned . . . that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned . . . that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs be, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned . . . that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned . . . that the people you care about most in life are taken from you to soon.
