Places I've been

Chicago suburbs (Hometown), I moved south in the early 70s to Florida. I took up carpentry and eventually became a Const. Supt. I returned home to Chicago a few years ago and helped care for my terminaly ill father and ended up staying.I've lived in Michigan, Indiana, Alabama, S.C., and Texas but most of my adult life was spent in Florida. My kids and grandkids are in Alabama and Missouri, so I try to make a trip a year down to "Sweet Home Alabama" Someday though, I'd like to retire to Florida, where I can walk on the beach with the woman I love .

I still love my blues and rock & roll, but I've also gotten much more spiritual, and more concerned about others than I ever thought I'd be. I must admit that I thought I'd have more energy, but my mind still thinks I'm young!! I've realized that there is much more to life than material things and friendship is something to be treasured.

Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois - My mom drove 65 miles to the base hospital cause my dad was in Korea during the war. She made the exact same trip with my aunt 364 days later when my cousin was born!
