I am an eternal optimist and still just a Kansas Country Girl in my heart - and always will be no matter where I live. My first passion (other than family and friends) is my garden. All winter I long to start digging in the  dirt and see my garden flourish. I love to read - especially Elizabethan history. I love antiques - glassware and jewelry. For some reason I have a huge owl collection - and please don't ask me how that one got started.

I have to dig in the dirt - it was born and bred into me! Love gardening. I am working on my family history with narratives from as many family members as possible. In the summer I sit/lay in my porch swing and play with the dog.

Having had a farm, I had everything but cows. Raised quarter horses and rode frequently back then. The last time I rode was in Alabama - my nieces horses. Have had pitbulls for years and think there's no bad dogs - just bad owners.
