Places I've been

We were born in Virginia and unfortunately our dog mother died when we were two days old. When we were three weeks old our mom Nancy adopted us and bottle fed us for three more weeks. So we haven't been to too many places.

More about me

We are five years old now but for Eons we are 35 in dog years.

As I said before, our dog mom died when we were two days old. The lady that had us really had her hands full, with seven new born puppies that had no mother.  She did the best she could bottle feeding us, and doing every thing our mother would have done to teach us what we needed to know.  After three weeks she allowed our Momma Nancy and Daddy Harold to adopt us and Nancy bottle fed us for three more weeks.

The night we got here mommy Nancy had taken the lid off of a big cooler and put blankets in one end for us and paper in the other end.  We sure didn't want to sleep in pee so we learned to go to the paper end really quick.  Then one day Momma Nancy and Daddy  Harold went away for a few hours and when they came back they had a cage for us.  It was cool cause we could now see out.  Our food and water was in there so we quickly learned to go in when necessary and it was a nice safe place to sleep and kept us out of trouble.  We were kind of bad at that time and chewed up some stuff including the carpet.

One day some men came with a bed on wheels and took Daddy away cause he was sick.  He came back that time but one day he left  and didn't come back.  He went to Heaven.  Not too long after that, we were getting too big for the cage, so Momma let us sleep with her.  She said we kept her company.  Now we just automatically go to bed when she does.  We shed some but we don't have any fleas. There are no bugs on our mugs!. 

Nipsy is the scared one.  He is afraid of Thunder and he is afraid of the big  black dog that tried to hurt us.  Lottie is afraid of the big dog too.  When we see her we get on mommy's lap for protection.

My Daddy named me Nipsy because I am a Jack "Russell" so he named me after the comedian Nipsy Russell.  I did not get this name because I nip at people.  I would never do that.  Lottie is  a nick name.  Her real name is Latte because their last dog was a Papillon named Cappuccino(Cappy).  He went to Heaven before Dad did so now they are together, along with the other dogs they had before us.  I bet they have so much fun now that all of them are well.

That is about all there is to tell about us.  Hope it was not too long and boring.

Activities

Lottie likes to play ball anytime anyone will play with her. Nipsy likes squeaky toys and plays tug of war. We also like chasing lizards and we love going for walks. Nipsy likes car rides but Lottie doesn't. She hides under the seat. Both of us get car sick so we don't get to go often and if we do, we have to take a pill first. Nipsy likes to run around in the back yard, but Lottie wants to be with her mommy most of the time. She follows mom around like a puppy dog.

Favorite Charities

We like any charity that helps other critters, and we also like the charity that begins at home, such as the treats and toys mommy gives us.

Favorite Music

We don't have a favorite as far as music goes, but we do like to hear someone whistle. Nipsy recognizes what commercials are going to have dogs or cats in them by the music that plays in the beginning. As soon as he hears a familiar tune he jumps up and starts barking. Sure enough there is a cat or dog that shows up momentarily.

Favorite TV Shows

We particularly like The "Doggie Show" (Animal Cops) on Animal Planet. Nipsy also likes the Discovery Health Channel and loves to watch the babies being born. As soon as they cry he gets so excited. I guess he knows that means they are going to be okay. Other than that we like commercials with animals in them and that is about it.

Favorite Movies

We like any movie with dogs and cats in them. We like some other animals to be in them too sometimes. We don't know the names of the movies but I bet we would really like Lassie if we could see that now.

Favorite Books

We don't like books because it takes Mommy's attention away from us.

We like each other and we both also like Pirate the cat. Pirate comes to us and lays on his back in submission, and then we kiss his face. We tire of it quickly though. LOL
