Tina Turner for giving Ike the BOOT, Rosemary Clooney for going mad and recovering, and being so damned talented. Rosie O'Donnell.......just because. Oprah Winfrey....more than a woman! Dolly Parton for making it big from being a hillbilly....good work, Dolly. Melissa Etheridge for being such an inspiration to us all, for her work, sharing herself with us all along, and for beating cancer and doing it to publicly...go Melissa. And for Miss Rosa Mae Parks! What a wonderful way to finish the civil war! Also, the Delaney Sisters, who lived to be over 100 years old! And my friend Debbie Henry, who didn't quite make it big, but in her way, she did.

I'm on it now! Just getting to be alone in my old family home place, getting it ready to be rented. Any other vacation would probably be to some land I hadn't seen yet, or perhaps a cruise. I've never been on one. I'd also like to get on a train and have my own room, w/dining car.....do they still exist? Going on a river boat cruise, spending a few nights, stopping at ports along the way. Visiting family and friends who have become family to me. Those kind of friends, we pick ourselves.
