Places I've been: Rancho Cucamonga, CA from my 20's to 40's Moved to Washington in 2000. Living and dying in Olympia, WA I've travelled the country on a book tour: NY, IL, OH, KY, TN, FL, GA, TX, AZ, CO, NV. Before grandkids use to vacation in Cabo San Lucas or Cancun, Mexico; Cambria, CA.
More about me: I live in paradise Northwest style. Born and raised in southern California, Olympia is now home. I'm an author of four books: two traditionally published, two self published. I teach at writers conferences around western Washington. And created the Olympia Writers Workshop, an informal group that meets twice a month at our local Barnes & Noble.
My day job is at Gorham Printing, short-run book printers, where I work with authors and small presses helping them publish their books. Short-run is 25 to 3,000 books so I work with people publishing their memoirs for family, up to those going commercial with their non-fiction or novels.
Up until two months ago, I had a crowded nest of three grandsons and their mother. Life is busy with sports, school performances and finger painting. I have ten years experience with Blues Clues.
Favorite Music: Jimmy Buffett and Harry Chapin, my story telling favorites. Soft rock and yes, I listen to Christmas music from the day after Thanksgiving to New Years.
Favorite TV Shows: Between the grandchildren and husband the TV only knows Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Discovery and PBS.
Favorite Movies: Romanitc comedies; Wuthering Heights, Lassie Come Home, National Velvet.
Favorite Books: Commercial fiction; romantic comedies; Harry Potter; Beverly Cleary
