More about me: I am a busy, hardworking, multi-faceted man who is employed in the medical supply field, works on weekends on boats, cars, motorbikes. I am the 4th owner of a remarkably personable and gifted Labrador retriever. I am not a dog lover, but I love this dog. Just about every day we go for a walk on trails made muddy by 4x4's, dirt bikes and quads into the woods, looking for downed trees for firewood, maple burls, driftwood from the river. At least I do. He doesn't really look for anything, but smells everything.

I have an 18 year old son who like me, is kind of a late bloomer, and is looking forward to his first job. He lives 40 miles away and we are in touch often.

A famous boomer once said, "the times they are a changing" and indeed they are. A famous king once said "There is nothing new under the sun". I think they both are right. Like the singer and the king, in a small way I leave my mark. Perhaps this venue will help me do that. Was it Goethe, or Nietsche, who said "the food of the soul is light and space"? My soul needs friendship and companionship like trees need light. "The sunlight of the spirit" is necessary for continued growth. This has been about me, but maybe it's about you?
