About Me

I'm the kind of person who is ever seeing the glass as half full.  A cock-eyed optimist, I can and have laughed in the face of tragedy.  A sense of humor is my best quality, and I am the one with the punchlines to all of the jokes.  Laughing heals the heart and the soul, to say nothing of physical impairments.

I've been a nurse in literally dozens of different hospitals, with a specialty in trauma care.  Now I finally get to put to use those things I learned in the most dismal of circumstances; as a matter of fact, the worse the conditions, the better the nursing skills.

How do you hurt?  Can I help?

"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life: Think of it, dream of it, live on that one idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea...That is the way spiritual giants are produced. -- Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902), Founder of the Ramakrishna Order of Monks
