The majority of my life has been spent living in CA including Santa Maria, Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Diego County. At various points in my life I have lived in Florida, TN, Mississippi, Texas, Illinois,and Nevada. I have visited many other states plus Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and Jamaica. There are many places I want to visit,but of course I now want to explore my new state of SC!

Hi Everybody!
I have been away from this site awhile so I now feel like a newbie on this boomer site.I love animals and have a pet Italian Greyhound dog and a black and white cat.I am not married but have a wonderful partner in life ,Jim. I enjoy involvement and helping others.I am so excited that we have moved to Greenville South Carolina from Oceanside CA !
I have a medical background in nursing , not currently working. Unfortuately I contracted Hep C due to a needle stick which was diagnosed 10 yrs ago,then was not able to do direct pt care.So I worked in UR, Managed Care and Audit areas of the Medical Profession.I also have suffered from depression. I have been on soc sec Disability since 2004 but would like to work a few hours a week. Actually I feel like an "up" sort of person and enjoy LIFE thanks to my loving Father God!
I enjoy computer surfing, eating out, cooking, love beaches and mountains and all our beautiful nature which now includes all the beautiful water falls and parks here in Greenville. We are in the foothills of the mountainns and very close to North Carolina (where we originally planned to move). I am now about 100 miles (give or take) from Georgia and TN which are the 2 locations where my 5 wonderful grandchildren liveIam very blessed.
Looking forward to making friends and learning new ideas!

Thanks for adding me to your list of friends. I'm just getting to know my way around here, soo if I make a mistake, forgive me. Every site I belong to, has so many different ways to post & send gifts, and all different from the other.
I am so sorry for your loss. I couldn't image my life without my husband, of 26 years, so I must say, U have been thru so much.
Thank God, we're serving a God, who help us, with all our sorrow & troubles. I don't know, what I would do with out the Lord by my side. HE, has been with me thru every single thing U can imagine, and I am stronger because of HIM!
I have been praying for my sisters (I have 9 of them) but things seem to be getting from bad to worse. I know if my Mom were to pass away now, we won't be seeing each other at all. I know Satan wants us to continue arguing, instead of joining together in prayer. This way, we don't talk, and we don't unite in prayer as before.
The thing that hurts me, is my mom would pray for all of us, so we wouldn't fight or argue, I feel my mom is waiting for us to reunite, so she can go in peace. She could somehow sense when we were arguing.
Thank U so much for your friendship. I will pray for you, so the Lord can touch your body. I always say a bible verse, that has been with me thru out many years & with my illnesses. "With God, all things are possible" With faith, nothing shall be impossible, I know, because I was healed of cancer, many years ago. God Bless U, Take care, *~Mellie*~

Thank you so much for the prayers. The pain is pretty bad tonight. I see the Rheumy Tuesday and I hope I can get him to give me an increase in pain meds, or something for breakthrough pain.
