Can't think right now about this one...but definitely in very current times Oprah. This woman has created everything from very humble beginnings. Look at the doors she's opened. She's using her power, influence and the media to bring attention, acceptance and understanding to so many important issues. And I do have to admit I love the entertaining stuff and find the best-of-the-material world info fun. She presents a balance--the essential and truly important with a touch of the frivolous.

What is your favorite family dinner?

Anything with arugula as an ingredient or in a salad. Can be a wonderful soup as the entree, or pasta or good pizza (I do live in Chicago). And accompanied by my friends along with my family. My friends are part of my family.

It changes. Sometimes all I want is to relax somewhere on the ocean. Other times a fabulous city, like New York, Paris, Munich with art, music, shopping, great restaurants, boutique hotels. Usually with loved ones and friends. Europe is always a favorite. Right this minute a visit to the Italian Riviera sounds pretty perfect.
