Have been a total vegetarian for decades - - ever since I became a professional athlete. I have friends who are omnivores but few meat-eaters have the energy and stamina that a vegetarian takes for granted.

Enjoy meeting new people

Take part in an art history tour of Florence

• • Still thinking this over. . . . as a journalist, I have interviewed over 1,000 people [all of whom believed that THEY were truly fascinating] :-D

Graduate School

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

• • Unfortunately, I am meeting too many older people who have health problems, maturity-onset diabetes, low energy, and lifelong bad habits. This is a sad spectacle indeed to be surrounded by so much of this, alas. And, though I used to be quite nurturing and supportive, as I matured I have been quicker to drop people [especially alcoholics and non-progressive types].

Being invited to Sweden to accept a Nobel Prize for writing.
