Places I've been

I have lived in NYC,NJ,FL,TX,NC and VA. I have traveled throughout most of the US except Pacific NW. Would love to see it. I loved the California coast and New England (in the early fall or spring)--not a snow lover! Would love to see England, Ireland and Scotland and a few other places around the world.

I am single,work for a government contractor as their Director of Human Resources.  Govt. Contracting is an industry that is doing very well now. Those who are job hunting should give that a thought.

I like to think that I am bright, know I have a great sense of humor, I have come to like country music (which if you knew me you probably wouldn't think so) maybe because after listening to today's country  versus what I remember from years ago when I lived in San Antonio ---it's not  whiney, is full of energy and fun and very real. Of course MoTown is great as well and some easy/light rock but then I have some eclectic tastes as well---African drums, Asian melodies, some classical, every once in a while something with a Cajun sound--see eclectic.

Activities

I target shoot and am pretty good. Garden though I do it for the result not the process.Love to go to festivals, art shows, live music and theater, travel, just walking and a few dozen other things that will come to mind as soon as I log off

Favorite Charities

Anything that involves animals or kids especially if it imparts a love of learning and self worth. I have worked giving 'how to get a job' type presentations to a variety of groups because I am an HR Director. Also anything that helps the men and women who serve overseas. I have a soft spot for them in view of what they face, sacrifice and uphold. I admire the courage and commitment....to name a few

Favorite Music

I mentioned that in the profile probably would be easier to say what I don't like...not into rap because it seems too much like yelling and bad rhyming to a beat...not so much music but then I may have a 'passe' view of music.

Favorite TV Shows

I liked Boston Legal, it was really clever and well written, NCIS, old Law & Order, HGTV I mostly drop into tv shows not a regular watcher...when there are books or things to do

Now here I have a problem. While I like going to the movies I don't usually 'fall in love' with one It's more the actor and the story

Favorite Books

I like books that take me to places I have never been , to times past as well as present. I read a story that had a main character who was a glass blower-fascinating. Like mystery and will fess up and say I like romance with happy endings.
