I am known by many names,
Mom, Grandma, and Sis, to name a few,
but for my friends here, I am simply Lu.

My porch here is always open, so come on in and sit for a spell, before you leave I would ask you to leave your mark in my guestbook - that's what friends do here...it's just being neighborly. I am always glad to have visitiors.

Of course, here I am ... aging gracefully I hope... still wondering. Wondering who I am; wondering which things influenced me over time; thinking about the wonder in this world and how to embrace this dance we call life.

I am a chronicler, I think. Photography soothes my soul, and I find inspiration in everything and everyone I see. Going forward with the chronicler idea, I find satisfaction in knowing my photos are like silent silver threads weaving a tapestry around my many encounters and adventures.

Ever spent time around a campfire? This is one of my favorite things to do - watching the magical light and shadows - listening to tales from the past and dreams of things yet to come - enjoying the sights and sounds and smells of the outdoors.

I was a city kid, and grew up in northeast Ohio. These were good years, when neighborhoods were safe and baseball was King. Later in life, many of my best years centered around the South, living in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas and Oklahoma. These were my traveling times - a home base, and RVing across the country...it was amazing.

Volunteering has been so much more fulfilling than working (30 years behind a desk) ever was. I have been a campground host, gate attendant, humane society dog walker, tour boat crew, park watch, photographer, history museum archivist, and park media staff - all very cool fun things to do, while giving a little something back to this great land.

I love music, horses, dogs, wild ducks, the serenity of the lakes and forests, and genuine cowboy poetry.
