I have spent the most time of my life in Maryland, which is where my son and his family still live. I've been in Florida since 1996. Lighthouses I've visited: Santa Cruz, Calif Lighthouse; Cape Hatteras, NC Lighthouse; Sandy Hook, NJ; Sea Girt Lighthouse, NJ; Barnegat Lighthouse, NJ; Hilton Head, SC;Thomas Point Shoals Lighthouse, Maryland; Ponce Inlet, FL and Jupiter, FL. Welcome to my world!

I'm a mom to a wonderful son named Dan, the light of my life.
I'm a mom-in-law to Melissa, the daughter I would have chosen to give birth to.
I'm Nonni to Jack, my 5 yr old grandson, the song in my heart.
They are my beacons of light that keep me grounded.

I really love the whole idea of these SKITS on eons and getting to meet people that I've been writing to every day and getting to know.  I've met some of the best friends of my life here.

I love lighthouses, listening to music, the ocean, watching westerns, reading, writing short stories and poetry (strictly amateurish). If you listen to my playlist, you'll see how diverse my taste in music is.

Activities

Lighthouse collecting, I have so many lighthouses in my house, it could be a museum. I collect everything from paintings, to ceramics to soap, towels, night lights, silverware, etc..you get the idea. Other activities I enjoy, walking along the beach, reading, writing short stories and poetry, cooking, ironing, cleaning and baking. Geez, I sound like a Stepford wife! :-)

Christopher Reeve's Spinal Injury Foundation, any charity for kids and saving the planet, and the animals and their environment.

Oh wait, I'm a girl, I think it's ok then. :-)

The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon, Lonesome Dove and Comanche Moon by Larry McMurtry, Centennial by James Michener, all the Louis L'Amour novels, Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller, all the John Jakes series of The Bastard, The Rebels, The Seekers, etc. I also like reading biographies and historical books.

Lake Lure, NC .. Cape Hatteras, NC ..Annapolis, Maryland...Frederick, MD..."down the shore" in New Jersey.. Santa Cruz, Calif .. anywhere out west or coastal lighthouses. Mountains and oceans and lakes and flowers and waterfalls and anyplace beautiful.

Favorite Animals

puppies, dolphins, kittens...standard stuff. Monkeys and their primate cousins scare the hell out of me.
