Places I've been

My husband and I love to travel and have been on many cruises to warm and sunny climates. We try to get to Florida at least once a year also. We live in Southern Oregon and go to the Bend area at least once a year. Two of my children live in Oregon and one in Alaska.

More about me

Because I was raised in Hermosa Beach, CA, I love being near the ocean.  However, in my early 20's I moved to Southern Oregon and have come to love the mountains, lakes and rivers.  I married my second husband in 1988.  We live in the forest on a couple of acres in Merlin, Oregon.  I love gardening and have a deer fenced garden area which keeps out the deer and our Jack Russell, Belle, but not the raccoons and possums. 

We belong to a great gym where I exercise and my husband, Ken, plays racquet ball. 

I became a Master Gardener in 2001 and have worked in the extension greenhouse for the past five years helping new Master Gardeners learn greenhouse skills.  I also deliver meals to seniors with Food and Friends.  My "people" become like family to me.

I have seven grandchildren, but they do not live near me, so I don't get to see them as often as I would like to.  I do get to see them often during the summer.
