Places I've been

As a child I lived in Bresoles France, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, Ypsilanti, Michigan, Pearl City Hawaii, Bellevue Nebraska, Stone Mountain Georgia. I have traveled many other places and my experiences as a child instilled in me the enjoyment and interest in travel. I have always had a keen interest in other cultures.

More about me

I grew up as an Air Force Brat and ultimately settled in Georgia. I have been a Georgia resident since 1968 which almost makes me a native although I have never really felt that way.

I married in 1976 and we raised 2 children, a daughter and son now both grown. We have settled in suburbs of Atlanta at the base of the North Georgia mountains. I have an office administration background but due to the current economy and my distance from a major metropolitan area I guess you might say I am semi-retired. I volunteer with a local hospice and I am considering starting my own business sewing bags, purses, and baby items.

Activities

My passions are painting, crafting, reading, music, wine, cool weather, and computers. I also love long nature walks but have developed foot problems that keep me from doing this as much as I would like.

Favorite Movies

Almost anything Cohen Bros., well done Period films, Independent quirky films, Foreign films, Sci-Fi, Action, & Dramas. I have a variety of tastes as long as it's well written. I don't like to figure it out too easily.

Favorite Books

Too many to mention, I love to read. On a more serious note The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche is excellent. Especially for those who have been delivered a terminal diagnosis for themselves or a loved one.
