I'm 58, married, mother of 3 grown children, grandmother of 9.  When my step-father passed away two years ago, we had to move my Mom to a group home because there was no way she could manage on her own.   Life at the group home has had it's ups and downs for her.  I can't say my Mom has ever been really "happy" there - but it is a safe, clean enviornment, with caregivers who truly care and I can sleep at night knowing she is being well cared for.  Lately her health has taken a turn for the worse - she is losing weight, depressed and her dementia is progressing.  

Over the past two years, I have found comfort through my communications with the various caregiver groups at eons.  It's so good to be able to vent to people who understand. 

Lately I've been communicating with with other groups - the Writer's Web and Digital Photography - it's a wonderful thing to be able to find "inspiration" through the arts.

I encourage all of you find groups you would like to share with -or things you want to know more about - it will be a rewarding experience I promise!
