Places I've been

My father was in the Marine Corps, so I grew up on Marine Corps Naval Air Stations from California, to Florida, to North Carolina. He retired from the MCAS Cherry Point, which is in Havelock, NC. So, I lived in Havelock from the eighth grade through high school. That is the longest amount of time I had ever lived in one place. Therefore, I will claim Havelock as my hometown!

More about me

I have retired from teaching school and am enjoying the freedom to do just as I please each day.  It is wonderful. 

I enjoy my outdoor flowers, crochetting, visiting with friends and family, and I enjoy reading for pleasure.  Some of my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Fern Michaels, Dean Koontz, Irish Johansen, and James Patterson--especially his 'women's murder club' series.  I have lots of other faviorite authors, but these give you an idea of the types of books I enjoy. 

One of my friends from my college days invited me to join Eons and, so, here I am (joined Aug. 2008).  I am still learning the ins and outs of the site.  I have not joined any groups yet, but hope to soon.
