I lived in Ft. Lauderdale until I graduated and then married. Then lived in Miami for the rest of the time. I've visited almost every state in the U.S. Been to St. Thomas and St. Lucia. The best trip was to Israel.

Where to start?

 

I was born in Alabama from deep south parents. We soon moved to the Lake Okeechobee area in Fla. We then moved to Ft. Lauderdale FL when I was 8 years old and that's where I grew up.

What a great era and location to come of age.  What fun we had on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale.  I then married right out of high school and moved to Miami.  I have been here ever since.

I have 2 wonderful daughters and 4 incredible grandkids who love their "fun" Meema. 

Most of all I love to have fun and try not to take life too seriously.  Life deals us enough serious stuff without our trying to find it.

WHEN YOUR HOUR GLASS RUNS OUT OF SAND, YOU CAN'T FLIP IT OVER AND START AGAIN   

I love to walk the beach, especially at the dimming of the day with the sand between my toes and the waves lapping at my feet. Of course it is even more special with a handsome man holding my hand. Add to that a nice glass of Pino Grigio and a beautiful sunset while snuggling with the handsome guy in a double adirondack chair.

I also think one of the great pleasures in life is hanging out at the spa and getting a really good massage.

I am a very sentimental person but also I really love to joke around. A sense of humor is a requirement in a relationship.

I enjoy decorating my home and making it a real home is a big part of who I am. The homemaking and the giving and receiving love are what make me a woman.

Activities

I enjoy both attending my church and working at my church. I have made some of my best friends there. My favorite holiday is Easter, the holiest day in the Christian walk. My forgiveness and eternal life are now GUARANTEED!

Favorite Music

I have a rather traditional taste in music. I like the 50's do-wop and the early 60's. Also like current pop music, country music and Southern Gospel music. Actually, pretty much anything but Rap and Jazz.

Favorite TV Shows

The only reality show I'm watching right now is Dancing with the Stars. I do like The Apprentice as well. Others are: The O'Reilly Factor, The View (I'm on blood pressure meds), Ellen and Regis and Kelley. The Food Channel, the Biography Channel, HGTV and Discovery Health. I just love The Dog Whisperer too.

Favorite Movies

On Golden Pond, Terms of Endearment, Silence of the Lambs, Smokey and the Bandit, Bridges of Madison County, Message in a Bottle, Driving Miss Daisy, Christmas Vacation. I know there are more but I can't think of them now.

Favorite Books

I don't read a whole lot but The Bible would be at the top for me.
