I love to play cribbage, read, cross-stitch, listen to music, cook, watch an occasional movie, and work out to exercise videos and walk a couple of miles most days. I enjoy my family and friends, and find I need a certain amount of "alone" time whether I am in a relationship or not. Currently, I have been practicing the flute with an eye to joining the community orchestra in the fall.

I tend to talk more of authors...I find one I like and read all their books: Grisham, Cussler, Karon, Rowlings, Dickens, King, Koontz, Palmer. I like the laughter from Far Side, Garfield, and Sloane Tanen books. Local humorist Chad Carpenter's Tundra is also good.

No, I'm good where I am

What is your favorite family dinner?

It varies. Grilled steak with fresh salad when it's nice. Spaghetti and garlic bread sometimes. And any time is a good time for seafood, especially the pricey type....King crab, lobster, halibut, jumbo shrimp!

What kind of trip would you love to take in Italy?

Rent an Italian villa with my friends and/or family

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

I never thought I would live alone and (for the most part) like it. I always saw myself with a lifetime partner/lover. I also never thought I would be energetic enough at this age to enjoy having two jobs (which I do). I am surprised to see how much of a "work in progress" I am.

I am a member of the NEA (with some reservations)! I also belong to a couple of honor societies. I'm not much of a "joiner"!
