Hi! I found this site in a round about way. i was looking at a NJ paper on-line and read an article about Eons. I think its a great idea and look forward to seeing what people my age are up to. I'm scanning the groups now...

I live in South Florida, something I never thought I would do. I work for the Police Department, undercover division. Its interesting and also something I never thought I would do. I moved to Florida as one of my last big adventures. I rented a place on-line without ever seeing it, without a job, a car or a clue where anything was. I got on a plane with my dog and cat and landed during a hurricane, they closed the airport after my plane landed. It was a very good decision for sure, I can walk to the water and watch the yachts go by or scoot over to the beach on my lunch hour. I didn't want to spend my whole life living in one state.

Unfortunately, the high cost of living I sought to leave in the northeast came with me to Florida and for now I am combining forces and living my son and daughter-in-law, 3 dogs, 2 cats and a lizard. That too is something I never thought I would do but has turned out to be wonderful. My son is my landlord - go figure!

I am a Christain, love the Lord and have told Him my secrets, my pain, my joys and needs for about 50 years. I have a deep abiding walk with Him and can't imagine life without Him. I am glad to see so many other believers on Eons.

I can't beleive I am as old as I am. In many ways I don't feel like I've accomplished all that I should have by this age, and in other ways, I feel like I've experienced too much. In theroy, I could retire in less than 10 years, but in reality, I don't have the finances. I guess its time I consider it, don't you think?

 I hope to find some buddies on this site, maybe there are other boomers who live in this area or maybe I will find some on-line buddies to chat with. I'm excited.
