I live in Punta Gorda, FL with my husband, Jack, our apricot mini-poodle, Brandy, Zeke our feisty little Pacific Parrotlet, and our newest "baby" Yogi - a 1 yr. phantom-colored standard poodle that we adopted from a rescue shelter in SC. We love boating (sailing especially) and have sailed down the ICW from Virginia in our sailboat the first time, and from NC in our power boat the second time. We survived Hurricane Charley by not being at home - we were actually in NC to bring our boat back to Florida - and the subsequent voyage took nearly 3 months to accomplish due to Hurricanes Charley, Ivan, Frances, and Jeanne! One sunset photo I've downloaded was our final evening before arriving home to Charlotte Harbor to bring the boat safely to port.
Jack and I are retired, sort of, so we have relative time freedom, but we also enjoy managing an internet marketing and product brokerage business that keeps us active. We enjoy boating, kayaking, white water rafting, horseback riding, cooking, photography, an occasional round of golf, watching baseball & football games, spending time with friends & family.
We enjoy seeing all the wildlife here that includes bald eagles, Cooper's hawks, gopher tortoises, Florida softshell turtles, sandhill cranes, herons, egrets and racoons. We love the Florida weather and being so close to great cruising territories! - Activities
