I've been to Hawaii, Cancun, Curacao, Florida ... and more to come. Went back to Hawaii in November 2007. I think it's amazing that I've met so many people from other places over the years who have some connection to Brooklyn. High School: Lafayette H.S. in Brooklyn. Graduated early because I had no patience to sit there one day longer! College: Brooklyn College. Left after 2 years because I had no patience to sit there one day longer either! I couldn't wait to get out and LIVE!! Then a 12-month secretarial course ... learned everything in 5 months and got a great job. I'm happy to say I've never regretted my choices. Occupation: I've always been a legal secretary/legal assistant, and am still working full time and most of the time I enjoy it. >>

More about me

I've lived in New York all my life.  I work full time and I'm happy most of the time.   I have one grown son.   I don't have to diet, which is good because I've got no willpower whatsoever.  

I've been told I'm attractive and fun.   I was married twice, and became engaged a third time about 10 years ago - but this time I wised-up before the deed was done.   Guess it's getting easier to see beyond the stars in my eyes (goes hand-in-hand with my vision getting worse).  

I'm inerested in everything from archeology to zoology.  I believe no one is better than any one else.  Whether you're a millionaire, like the people I work for, or homeless, like some people I see on the street, we all put our pants on one leg at a time. 

If I'm in a store or on the subway, and I see someone yelling at or hitting their small child, or even mistreating an animal, I tell them to stop.  I know this may backfire on me one day, but I just can't sit there and do nothing. 

Pain is universal.  If one helpless being is suffering, we all suffer.
I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE YEARS HAVE GONE!
I often wish I somehow had more to show for them.

Favorite TV Shows

All time favorites - who can remember? But right now my #1 very favorite is Saving Grace on TNT, House is an extremely close #2, then The Closer, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, and the Law & Orders and CSIs. Just about everything on HGTV, Food Network, Animal Planet ... old movies, any movie musical (Chicago, Fame ...). And let me not forget CBS Sunday Morning. That's really one of the best.

Favorite Charities

Me! Sounds selfish, I know. But if I don't give to myself, who will.

I always give money to people who are homeless and ask for help. After all, if I am willing to throw away a dollar for a candy bar, how can I not give a dollar to someone who really needs it?? I make a point of looking them in the eye and smiling when I do it. I know it makes them feel less invisible. It's the least I can do. It's always a reminder to count my blessings. There but for the grace of God ...

My favorite place to be is next to any big body of water, preferably an ocean. Brings peace to my soul and perspective to my emotions.

Favorite Animals

Dogs and Cats. I've always had a dog and I just love them all. But now that I live alone I know I won't want to walk them in the snow and the rain ... so I have 2 cats - they're sisters and don't seem to like each other very much! But they sure love me - I even get followed to the bathroom! And I do get a lot of pleasure from them.

I'll never understand people who can live alone without even one other living, breathing being to care for. To me, that's the definition of an empty home.
