Born and raised in Southern California.  Huntington Beach.  Raised my children in Mission Viejo, Calif.  My parents moved from Newport Beach, CA to Mesquite, NV in 2000.  Then they were ill and passed away during which time I was traveling back and forth to care of my father.

We are now residents of Mesquite, and starting a life anew here.   I still morn for the days of family get togethers, where everyone would meet at 'Mom & Dads' and our whole family would laugh and enjoy the occasions.  My children were most fortunate to have such a rich life in all the meanings of that word.  

My daughter and grandchildren are in So. Cal and I do not get to see them as often as my children saw my parents which was every week!  I realize life as I knew it has completely changed, and sometimes I can't believe it. I see the Urns of my parents who were the ones that I leaned on and talked to so often, and miss them terribly.  For some reason, I still don't see myself as taking on the role of 'family leader'.. but I suppose they will look to me the same way I had once looked at my parents.

I live in a community where there are a lot of retired folks, and the realiziation that I am not a 'spring chicken' is really sinking in.   I guess my mind never caught up with my body ~ or something like that.  I just don't feel or see myself as elderly.

So, here I am.  Fat and Sassy.    Well, hoping to be thin, soon.    Hmm... oh.. I love to sing.   That said, I'm off to jump in the pool!!  It's sunny today- as usual.. lol!!

Activities

Hiking with my dogs. Reading 'Scientific American', Yoga, healthy living materials~ I read quite a bit. I love researching topics of interest to me, everything from anthropology to zoology!!

Favorite Music

Depends on my mood. I love smooth jazz, to classical to the 'oldies'~ I can't believe the 60's and 70's music is considered oldies!! I really love the 80's music and Reggae and... country. I love anything romantic or love songs which of course leaves out the one type of music I DiSliKe due to it's violent, cruel, and degrading lyrics: crap.. i mean rap.

Favorite TV Shows

Discovery Channel, History Channel, Discovery Science, All animal channels. Never been much of a sitcom viewer, however I like Dharma and Greg.

Maui, Hi, Santa Cruz, Ca, Laguna Beach, Ca

Favorite Animals

Cats, Dogs, Dolphins~ want to swim with them someday! I like lizards, and watching salt water fish in beautiful reef tanks.
