About Me
I consider myself to be very lucky. I've lived a very unique life with it's ups and downs just like everybody. At 40 I discovered I was dyslexic. A big discovery as it showed I wasn't weird or nuts like I thought, I just think and see things differently then most. It's really a gift LOL
At 55 I discovered my talent to create using the written word. I've always been creative, but I thought it would be through my hands. What a surprise when I found out it was going to be with my mind.
I dropped out of high school and hitched hiked across the US. I was drafted spending three years in the army. Some good stories in that experience. While in the Army I met and fell in love with the wrong Woman. Beleive me when I tell you I learned what "Love is Blind" meant from that experience. LOL As in every aspect of life it had it's good and bad.
I tried college several time but it wasn't for me. The frustration level caused by my dyslexia made the experience unbearable. The only area of college I succeed at was computer programming. This was a big deal as it taught me I could succeed.
I've been one of those people who got caught in the takeover/downsize mentality of Corporate America. One plant closing and three downsizing. I don't think I have to tell people what that's like. The older I got, the harder it became to get meaningful employment.
The last downsizing occurred in 03. In my mid fifty's, I joined the ranks of the unemployable becoming homeless. It was during this time I discovered my writing talent. It became a life saver in this period of my life.
After about five months of homelessness, my older brother and his wife took me in. He was ill and unable to take care of their house. That's brings us to the present.
