My husband and I are both retired and enjoying the good life - The good life for us means visiting Las Vegas a lot, staying up as late as we want, sleeping late, doing what we want which includes spending lots of quality time with our 7 cats.
Last October I returned to my hometown in PA where our class celebrated it's 50th year class reunion. We had a fun-packed weekend to celebrate our milestone reunion. I've known some of these kids since the 1st grade and it was such a pleasure to visit with them again and find out what they've been up to.
Another thing I'm doing that I never thought I could do is draw, and I recently signed up for a class at a local community college titled "Drawing for Those Who Can't". My teacher said, "If you can sign your name, you can draw." And guess what: it's so true. I continue to amaze myself. A fabulous site for learning to draw is drawspace.com - it just makes you want to draw. And it's FREE! Sooooooo, if you're interested in drawing, check it out.
After approximately 30 years' absence, I've taken up bicycle riding. In fact I ride all over the neighborhood - places I never before would have dreamed of going on a bike: to the Mall shopping, to the library, to visit friends, to the China Buffet on Saturday night, to snap pictures in my neighborhood to post on my profile page, etc.
Some day I hope to visit Ireland and look up my ancestors. It's on my list of "Twenty Wishes."
Just recently I accomplished a bucket list item - moving to southwest Florida from Chicago. This has been a dream for many years, and much to my sister's delight (she lives in FL) my husband and I finally made the move. No more dark gloomy days, no more rain, sleet and snow shoveling, and hello sunshine, hot days and nights and love bugs twice a year.

I do not donate to organized charities because I want every single cent of my money to go directly to a person in need and not for some fancy corporate upkeep. So, for example, my sister and I were walking down the street when we saw a VietNam vet in a wheel chair without any legs. We each gave him $20. I would like to extend A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to all our military veterans out there on Eons who risked their lives for freedom's cause.

I'm Pearl, I'm 14 years old and weigh all of 6 lbs. People are constantly mistaking me for a baby kitten, but I don't mind. Bobby (below) is my soulmate boyfriend. We're practically inseparable. However, there are times when I want to be alone so I climb to the highest rafters. Mom and dad put a platform (along with my favorite blankie) up here for me so I wouldn't fall to the ground and hurt my kitty self. My favorite game is chasing the laser light beam. Tuna is my favorite food and I'll even stand up on my hind legs and dance for it.
My name is Bobby and I'm the senior kitty of the group - 15 years old in November 2011. When my pet parents visited the Hayward, WI shelter where I lived, I jumped into dad's arms and he had to catch me so I wouldn't fall on the floor. I wanted to be adopted so bad and was tired of people passing me by, so I took a "leap of faith" to get their attention. It worked and they chose me. I'm the inspector and caretaker of the property and it’s my job to supervise all house repairs. When we got a new roof in 2004, I actually climed up the ladder to see that the job was being done right! In this picture I'm surveying damages after a severe thunder storm with 100 mph winds in October 2006. The electricity was off for 3 days and some of my kitty food got spoiled and had to be thrown out.
Hi - my name is Benji and I'm so happy that my brother Timmy also found his way to this house. He's the newest addition to the household and you can read about him in the lower right hand corner. Now back to me - I was homeless and the weather was freezing and I was so cold. I had to compete with a pack of racoons for my food, but I kept going to the back door to be fed. I was scared and ran when I saw them, but they captured me in a racoon trap in December '09. After a trip to the vets and a check for a "chip" (which I didn't have), they adopted me. Now I'm part of the family. I'm so good at snuggling and cuddling - they're my favorite things to do. Also, I really enjoy giving head bonks to my brother Timmy and also to my pet parents. In this picture I'm helping rake the autumn leafs and stuff the pumpkin bags. What fun!

Hi - I'm Pooh Bear. In this picture I'm modeling my new Valentine's Day Sweater. My birthday is 4/16/03 which makes me an Aries kitty. Mom says Aries is a leadership sign. I'm the good-will ambassador, greeter of the family. I oversee all kitty going-ons and act as the welcome committee to new kitties. If I hear any distress meows I'm right on the scene to check out what's happening and to offer my special comforting services. I just love all kitties and my dad tells me that I have a heart of gold. He also says that sometimes I act like a dog instead of a cat (woof woof).

I'm the real DiniDoodle but I let mom use my name on this website. My birthday is 4/10/02. My name was Houdini and that got shortened to Dini, then Mom added the "Doodle" part just because it seemed to fit me. I prefer humans to other cats, but I am learning to share my toys, my food, and quality time with my other kitty brothers and sisters. In this picture I'm posing alongside a beautiful Xmas Rose. Hi! my name is Heidi and I like to hide because I'm very shy. My birthday is 06/27/03 and I was adopted from the Animal Welfare League in August 2004. I'm a real home-body and I'm perfectly content to sit by the sliding glass doors inside the house and watch the bunnies, racoons, and birds outside. I'm afraid to venture onto screened-in lania because I spotted a huge bobcat crossing the property and that really scared me. Mom is always telling me how pretty I am and I really like that. Every day she reads out loud to us from one of her good books, then we all saunter into the kitchen for a snack. I love my forever home with all my kitty brothers and sisters.
Hello there. My name is Timmy (probably because I'm very timid). I'm the newest addition to the family - December 2010. I was homeless for quite some time and kept looking in the doors and windows at this house. I though I saw my brother Benji in there and sure enough, it's him. We're about the same size but the only thing alike is our tail. We have identical racoon-like black and gray ringed tails that wave like a flag in the wind. I'm white with black markings that looks like a saddle over my back. Benji is grey striped. Anyhow, they took me in one very cold night recently and I'm so grateful to have a warm home and to be reunited with Benji. (I was wondering what happened to him.) We had Kitty Christmas and everyone got a nice present all wrapped and doused with catnip. Here's a picture of me opening my present and I think I scattered a little bit of catnip on the floor. Oh well!
