I was born in Chicago, IL. Raised there until I was 12 then moved to the northern part of the state. I have lived in Champaign, IL. for awhile, then back to the Chicago area. Have vacationed in California, Alabama, Georgia, lived in Florida for awhile, Wisconsin, Indiana, Washington St. But never been over seas. Something I hope to do someday.

 I have 4 wonderful, beautiful children. 3 ladies and 1 man.  Ranging from age 20 to 15.  My greatest accomplishment ever. 

Before they were born, I have worked in the health care field as a CNA caring for Geriatrics Alzheimers as well as Physcial Therapy Assistant until I had my first child. I was a stay at home mom until I went  back to work when my youngest was 4. Back into the Health Care field, and after 4 yrs. found it was draining on my emotional level. So it was suggested to me that maybe I sould try something different for awhile. So I changed to Administrator Assistant for a home building company for 3 yrs.  ( This job was really hard on my beliefs regarding saving and perserving the land that is still natural, as well as our enviroment.)  So to sleep better at nite, I gave that one up, willing!!!  After that adventure, I proceeded back into Home Health Care providing care for a wonderful lady whom I shared the next 3 years, and I have to say it was the most delightful and memoriable time spent with a lady who gave me such joy and whom I hope I gave the same.  We were together until she passed away 3 years ago.  I then returned to office assistant. Until they closed their doors due to decline in work.  I work part time at home helping my X with his business. I have decided this has to change.  I now want to go back to school to either earn a degree in Nursing, or Medical Assitant.  I am not sure which I am most interested in doing at this time. I must make a decision soon.  I am currently seeking employment back in the Health Care feild again, for through my changes I have discovered that this truely gives me satisfaction.  As it is said, we are always learning. LOL

I love to learn and try new things.  As the saying goes,  "Someone Has To Do It".  Just the wandering free spirit soul in me. 

I love life.  Thrive on laughter.  I cherish spending time with my family and friends. We do sit down to the dinner table as often as our busy lives allow us (I try to get this accomplished at least 3 times a week with the children) so everyone can catch up.  My two oldest are in our community college. The two younder ones are in High School.  We have 3 cats (just had to have one put down, do not like that term) a Dwarf Cockatoo who requires more attention than any person I know...and two fish.  Hoping to find a dog to share in our lives.  3 years now without one.  Each day I wake to try to remember to say All My Gratefuls for I have many.  And with each new day, a new beginning to whatever may come my way.....

Activities

Cooking, sewing, cleaning (as strange as that may be) organizing, gardening outside and inside, music, reading, surfing the net, collecting recipes, boating, camping, hiking, swimming, making over old furniture, taking care of people, scrap booking, crafts. Exploring.

Favorite Charities

Arbor Day foundation, anything related to saving our earth, Feed the Children, Domestic Violence, Am Vets, Good Will.

Favorite Music

I love Rock-n-Roll, oldies, classic and a lot of the new. Motown, Soul, Jazz, Blues, some country. I just love all kinds of music. Lets just forget about the Rap. As much as my son is trying to get me come over to that side, I just find I cannot feel the emotion. Not into heavy metal either.

Favorite TV Shows

I really do not have the time, nor the desire to watch a lot of TV. When I do my choices are, I Love Lucy, (great for laughter) Home makeover shows, CNN, Cooking network.

Goodness, that list is long. Just say I appreciate the movies.

Favorite Books

Cook Books, Craft Books, Most Educational Books, Sandra Brown, John Grisham. I only get to read novels in the cold winter months, so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I'm ready to start my winter reading list.

Favorite Places

Images and Photos"> I have seen most of America, by road trips. I have only been out east once, by plane. Hawaii and Alaska are on the list of "to do's". I would love to travel east by car. I have been to Florida, California, Wisconsin. Washington and to Canada. And of course all the states in between. I love mountains, oceans, rivers, and roads less traveled. Someday I would love to go overseas.
