More about me

Artistic throughout my life, in 1984 I earned a BA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Art, Creative Writing, and Women's Studies through the State University of NY in Oneonta. I am the mother of Skye, 26, and Willow, 21.While raising them for the most part as a single mom, I worked various jobs to keep afloat. During my adult life, in addition to parenting with all my heart, I continued to create paintings, sculpt, and do fiber arts while having the honor of showing my work at several local art galleries and being chosen to teach through our local Arts in Education program, as a member of AmeriCorps, and through individual mentoring. I dream of opening an Art Farm for children on the rolling acres of home in the mountains of Upstate NY. A publishied poet, my writing continues to flow; I've been fortunate to be associated with a writer's group of high acclaim in our area, and there, have done extended readings of my short stories as well as poetry. My son's firstborn, Aidan, is 6 years old and a granddaughter who brings much joy. As I rapidly approach fifty, it's become a time of reflection and a challenge to renew.

I Love going places alone... driving my little purple car to museums, concerts, the beach, anwhere I want to go no hassles, on flip side, I also love meeting like-minded people, hippys, going to kindergarten, playing with grandchild, playing music, listening to silence '....
