    Places I've been
Johnsonburg, NY (Hometown), I have done some traveling and would like to do a lot more. I try not to go to the same place twice. I have been to the Adirondacks numerous times and still have yet to see it all. I have also traveled to Virginia, Florida, San Antonio;Texas, Jamaica, Kansas and Michigan. I can also now add Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana. I just took a 12 day road trip through those states and it was just totally awesome.

    About Me

I am a 42 year old mother of lovely 2 teenage daughters. Cassie is 16 years old and just got her drivers licence. Julia will be 15 next month.  I have a 9 year old Pomeranian called Furby and he is my little baby. I was born and raised in a small country town.  I like to garden, it is a great stress releiver . I love to listen and talk to the birds that come and eat at my feeders, they keep me company. I am an amatour photographer, I carry my camera with me almost everywhere I go. Once in a while I get in a lucky shot. I also like to read a good book wether its a novel, romance, mystery or horror. I like to travel with my girls to see new things but the older they get, the less time they want to spend with mom. Oh well, I shall keep trying.

    • Christy; As always, thanks for your compliments, yes, they are beautiful in the dark and seeds will be put aside for you.
I was very impressed with your "hummingbird moth" - have not seen that one before. If you get a chance, go to my profile - check out my photos - there you will see the "pink spotted hawk moth"
their favorite food is the "moon flower".
They migrate from the north (upstate mich.) back to south america about this time of the year. Let me know if you see one of them.
      Thanks

    • Hi Christy...

This was the first time I'd ever seen a bittern. The American bittern is a smaller bird than the Great Blue Heron. Herons are up to 46" tall, American bitterns are up to 28" stretched out, but look smaller with the horizontal posture you can see in the picture.

    • Thanks Christy for the info on the Rudbeckia. I am saving the seeds now and when do I plant them? I know that folks want them and I would like to give instructions with them. Do I put the seeds in the frig before I plant them? A friend gave me two tiny pieces of hens and chicks and they are growing. She is giving me a pod from a Moon flower plant. All your pictures are gorgeous girlfriend.

      Loving hugs,
      Annie
