I grew in Aurora, Colorado graduating from Hinkley High School in 1968. I graduated from Univ of Northern Colorado in 1979. In 1981, I became a corporate nomad moving to Albuquerque, NM; then to Houston, TX in 1982; to Denver, CO in 1983; to Atlanta, GA in 1986; to San Diego, CA in 1988; to Pasadena, CA in 1991; to Aurora, CO in 1992 and then to Grand Junction, CO in 2004. Phew. I traveled to Paris, France in 1985 and it was the most memorable trip of my life. I hope to soon make some more trips to foreign countries.

I have a diverse family background with  Scotish/Irish/Danish father and a Mexican/French mother. Most people think I'm Italian but never guess the Latino. I love spicy food and cook a lot with jalapenos, salsa and Cholula hot sauce (Just have to keep the Prilosec in stock).

I have gained weight over the years but still try to work out regular. I have always been athletic and like to bike ride. I rode a lot in the 90's but have depended more on the gym for my excercise the last year or two. If I had lifted weights this much as a kid, I could have been a contender. Now I'm just an old Boomer trying to stay young.

Typically, I am in the home building business and have been most of my adult life but 2008 has called for some changes in direction. I have lived on the western slope of Colorado where the desert meets the mountains since Feb. of 2004. Energy development has helped the area miss much of the nation's economic problems which has been one of the benefits of living here. The people are generally more conservative and, while I have more of a urban lifestyle, the rural western life style is prevalent. I do not date much locally. Women that know how to gut a deer cause me concern.

I am a conservative and active in politics. I took a lobbyist type position representing two local associations on a local and state level during 2008. I am more of an economic conservative versus a social conservative though but, like Reagan, believe that government is the problem and not the solution. I respect President Obama, as our president, but I did not watch or listen to any of the inauguration. I am more concerned with what he does to us versus what he says to us.

 I like to travel and took a vacation to Cabo San Lucas in Feb. of 2008. I speak enough Spanish to get by. I went by myself and had a great time. I had previously visited Cancun, while still married, and enjoyed myself there as well.

When it comes to personal one-on-one relationships, I enjoy the romance of it. Candlelight dinners, her sitting between my legs watching a movie on television as I massage her shoulders, late nights in the hot tub, lazy Sunday mornings with maybe some lockes and bagels and a little champagne. I like to go dancing on the weekend mostly to classic rock. I'd go western dancing but I keep losing count when doing the two-step (and don't really care much for the music). Evenings at home, I enjoy smooth jazz on the radio but, some nights, I put on the rock station and kitchen-dance while cooking dinner (My dog, for one, thinks I'm nuts).
