About Me

I'm married, 2 sons, live on the west coast (N.CA.), retired now. Originally from the east coast, but have lived out here for 35 years. I'm an old back-to-the-land hippie and love it. Done just about everything, and even a bit of traveling and living with other cultures. Oh yes, I love people.

  • Yikes. I haven't been back here for a long while. I saw your photo and posted some of my own. Thanks for making me aware of the photo group. You are right. I am happy in my profile photo. I cropped it. My daughter is hugging me... a rare moment.

  • If you have an adjustale camera, F stop, and or shutter speed, using these two items will set the depth of field to a finite point where the Item you want to photograph will be in focus and everything else will e out of focus.

Basicly you want to manually set your F stop to as low a numer as you can get, usually around 4.0 or so. The camera will set the shutter speed. Or the other way around, Set the shutter speed to as high as you can go. Hopefully arounds 1/1000th or 1/1500th of a second. the camera should automaticly set the f stop.

If you do have either these options try them. Your foreground will become easily dissernable, making the object easier to edit.

    good luck
    Harry
