Originally destined to become a crusading journalist or witty editorialist, I was forced by family responsibility to abandon part-time jobs and night school classes at the University of Minnesota, to work as a printer. There, my love of the well chosen word, enabled me to become a successful graphic arts salesman who migrated upward, propelled by serendipity coupled with tolerance and love of faulted people, to become Senior Vice President of Sales in a large international chemical company. Promoted much beyond my ambition and capability, I happily grasped early retirement, first chance. For two years, I traveled the world as consultant/spokesman on environmental issues with UNICHEMA. I now live aging peers in a sleepy Arkansas, visiting my fishing shack on Whitefish Lake by Glacier Park summers, I have resumed my first love , weaving words into prize winning poetry and surprising tales that borrow heavily from the fascinating people he met in his world-wide travels.

DOGS The trick most puppies learn while young, helps them earn and keep each friend. Shared secrets told could friendships end so dogs wag tails and not their tongue. Eloquent men who would disclose, or match what dogs express, all fail to speak what’s said by wagging tail, which is pure trust a dog bestows. No other friend you might obtain would be so pleased to be your page. When you are hurt and wildly rage, dogs know just how to ease your pain. Some breeders change this acolyte, by breeding out each friendly trait. Guard dogs that these fools create won’t even bark before they bite

I'm an all around player, self taught in many creative/artistic fields, master of none. The words of the English language fascinate me, and I continue to seek unique ways to use them. I'm currently attempting to find a way to get my original semi-classical musical compositions into a widget on my profile page, where hundreds of my graphic arts already reside, for the listening pleasure (or punishment, haha) of anyone interested.
I'm happy to have you as a friend...............Urban
