Sacramento area is where I grew up. I've lived in Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Gridley (Kiwi capital of the US), and Oroville, all in Northern California. In Utah, I have lived in Helper, Price, Pleasant Grove, Orem, Salt Lake City and Provo. I've traveled through most of the states within the United States, except the Northeast part. I have vacationed in Hawaii several times, as well as Dallas, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Phoenix, Tombstone and Houston.

More about me

 I have 3 sons and 1 daughter.  I have 6 grandchildren, that I don't get to see as often as I would like. One son lives in Salt Lake City.  My oldest son passed away 6 years ago.  My other son and my daughter live in the same town that I do.  My oldest grand daughter is going to college here. (Gasp! it is hard to believe she is that old)  

  I live in a small town in Utah, (10,000)  it is high mountain desert. We have lots of cattle and sheep ranchers in our area.  There are quite a few coal mines in our area.

If someone in a Home Depot offers you help and they don't work there...you are in Utah.    If you find 10 degrees a little chilly....you are in Utah.    When the temperature gets to 50 degrees you put away the winter clothes and bring out the shorts...you are in Utah.     If you measure distance in hours...you are in Utah.

 I love the beach and if I had the $$$ that is where I would be living.  I still would consider pitching a tent on the beach if they would let me!

I used to work at our local college in the Applied Technology Department. Massive budget cuts did away with that job. I sure miss being able to see the students every day.                         

I clean a 14,000 sq ft government building 5 nights a week.   It helps pay the bills, but it is not my favorite thing to do.

I love learning and I like to help people make their lives better, in whatever way I can.   I can talk to just about anyone.                 My friends say I am way too friendly, but I have gained so much just by just asking questions and listening. 

 

 

Activities

I love to cook and am not afraid to try new recipes. I have about 10 cookbooks that I have complied and thousands of recipes. I write poetry for my amusement.
