Recently moved back to the Twin Cities after living in Stillwater for almost 20 years. It's an adjustment moving from an almost rural environment back to the heart of the city. I miss the slower pace and tranquility!

I have a wide variety of interests (although an odd and busy work schedule):

 

I love music—all types—no two pre-set dials are the same genre on my car radio.  Depends upon my mood.  I play guitar, sing, love to harmonize.

 

I believe there’s an artist in me trying to get out, but one has yet to fully emerge.  So I dabble a little bit in all sorts of artsy-craftsy things, take an occasional class, and occasionally visit a museum.

 

Photography is a must for me.  I always have a camera in my purse.  My favorite compliment came from a one-hour photo shop.  I went to pick up my photos and the clerk said, “We’re really not supposed to look at the pictures we develop, but these are so beautiful!  Do you mind my asking where you were?”  I laughed and said, “Iowa.”  (Just imagine what they might have looked like had I really gone somewhere…oh, and I have a pretty good repertoire of Iowa and Edina jokes, too.  Iowa – I Owe the World an Apology, Edina – Every Day I Need Attention…but all in good fun—have dear friends in both areas.)

 

Love to write (my B.A. is in English) both non-fiction and fiction.

 

Love gardening (to me it’s always a work in progress) and floral arranging.

 

Not afraid to talk religion or politics.  I believe it makes for lively conversation.  Open-minded, but also appreciate people who share similar views.  Conservative friends think I’m liberal, liberal friends think I’m conservative (in both areas).

 

Fall is my favorite season, spring a close second.  I find winter more tolerable by sleeping through most of it…

 

That’s probably more than you’ll probably ever want to know about me (just doing my part to help cure insomnia…)

Two that come to mind are "Room with a View" and "Red Eye"--and one of these days I hope to host a "Sound of Music" sing-along party!

Cats, dogs, wild rabbits and birds--and Rockhopper Penguins (an animal lover at heart).
