More about me

I was married for 29 years with the last seven of those living separated and raising the younger two of my three children. I adopted my oldest son from her first marriage he is 32 and moved to San Antonio, TX after leaving the Air Force to be near his kids. My one and only daughter and granddaughter for both sides of the family is 22 living a few blocks away from me. My youngest son just turned 21 and lives with me most of the time but spends some of his time at my sisters or friends when he is not at work usually on weekends. While I would like some grand kids to spoil closer to myself I am proud the kids not being married have chosen not to have any children other than the oldest.

I am looking to find a special companion who is interested in similar things as me and is willing to work together on common goals to build a happy fun filled future. Since I have started my life over from scratch I have been buying and storing building material in an effort to build myself another house a few years down the road, that is unless I an adopted by someone who already has a home we could share or maybe even add on to if needed. While I do construction management I did spend a number of years as a master carpenter and owned a general contracting and metal building distributorship.

I am also interesting in networking with others who may be in the business or may know someone who could benefit from the services I provide and vice versa as I may be able to refer clients who are seeking the type of service you provide.

I am currently finishing the details on a patent to file with the USPTO so I can sell the rights to manufacture to a tool company. I am writing a book titled How To Build Your Own Home in 5 to 7 Years With Little or No Financing.

I do consulting work for owners of property who live out of state, most have little experience in dealing with architects, general and sub contractors but want to save money whether it is a new home or a business. Most of all I keep them from getting ripped off by unqualified or greedy people who are what what they claim to be. Being a certified estimator I can review the contracts and bids to see if everything looks up to par or if there are some high unexpained cost in the bids. I am like a middle man there to save you money and get the work done properly.

Activities

I enjoy writing poetry, drawing and painting picture in oils. I also make hand mirrors from imported exotic woods. I make homemade fine wines usually a few times a year. I collect coins, jewelry and rare gems. I like going into old gem mines not far from where I live. Other activities include driving to the mountains for a weekend. Asheville, NC is always a lovely place to visit with a great coffee shop caled Old Europe. I also like strolling along or relaxing on the beach, holding hands or walking arm in arm with a special companion.

I like classic rock, country, bluegrass, alternative, jazz, folk and pop. My interest in music covers a few other types so I am not on the picky side when music is being played by a DJ or a live band. I recently saw the Doobie Brothers and Chicago Perform.

The Closer, CSI, NCIS, Saving Grace, Criminal Minds, House, Bones, Star Gate SG-1, The Mentalist, Eleventh Hour, Heros, Ghost Whisprer, Fringe and Super Natural. I could contnue as there are so many shows I like these days but miss quite a few episodes.
