About Me
About 20 years ago my younger cousins boyfriend discribed me as 'that hot older lady.' Now the hot part only comes in flashes, but the older part still applies. I think of myself as pretty average. I try to laugh a lot, it makes me feel better than being mad. But I have a vile temper when it is activated, and tend to go one sentence to far in an argument. I have found the best and worst thing about me is that I am probably going to be the one to cut through all the BS and point out the elephant in the room. It's the best because someone needs to do it, and the worst because it makes some people not like me much. I have a small circle of to-the-death friends and I really don't want to expand it. Few people fit that catagory anyway. I find that a lot of people view friendship as an attitude of 'what can this person do for me today.' I think I allow myself to be used to often, and usually end up on someones bad list when I finally say no more. I wouldn't mind watching a convicted person being put to death. I figure if I am for it, I should at least be able to watch it. I trust animals more than people. I am not much of a hugger, except with my kids. I am always on alert around people who come across as very friendly when you first meet them. I think that's called 'reserved'. I think I have a creative mind, but some of my creations are actual flops. It usually takes me awhile to admit that though. I will lie if I think the clothes you are wearing make your butt look big.
Interests & Activities
Activities
Boston Terriers, growing and working with gourds, gardening, sewing, painting, manipulating recipes, MG's and other LBBC's (only the older ones), crocheting, woodworking, you could say I have an arts and "crap" sort of mind I guess.
Favorite Charities
Favorite Music
It runs the gamut. I listen to all of it. There for awhile, I shocked the heck out of my family because I couldn't get enough of Emminem, he just blew me away. Right now I just love Kenny Chesney, Big and Rich, Tim and Faith. I've been in a country frame of mind for awhile. Like Nickelback too. Sugarland's stuff is great. Still love all the old stuff. A lot of classical and the old standard hymns. Irish music makes me so happy and love some of the monestary chanting. So it pretty much is everything.
Favorite TV Shows
DIY, Gardening, and Cooking shows. I miss Dog and Beth Chapman, I did so love their show and wish it would return. Old black and white movies. I can iron all day if the old movies are good.
Favorite Movies
Rear Window (the original), in fact, most Hitchcock stuff, To Kill a Mockingbird, Anything Bette Davis did, Steel Magnolias

Favorite People
Favorite Places
Just about anywhere in Ireland. It would be a dream to be able to chuck everything and live over there. What an enchanted place and what warm and accepting people. Even though we were always told we were part Irish, I really knew I had the Irish in me as soon as I stepped off the plane. I've been many places and met people from all over and I have found that most folks are warm and accepting if you have an appreciation of their home and culture.
