I wish I could say that I have traveled around the world. Alas that is not the case, save the armchair on which I have been many amazing places. However, I have been to several of our United States, Canada, and am blessed to have seen Israel twice.

More about me

I have a PhD in the school of hard-knocks. Surviving this, I pulled myself up by the bootstraps. At 41 I began taking classes at Georgia State, working all day...taking classes all night....Eventually, I took the big step to become a student full time. I graduated at 51 in 2001 with honors, and teach Art at Garden Hills Elementary. I am blessed to be married for 28 years to Bruce. He is my soul mate and the other half of my beating heart. We have 2 sons Matthew who will be 40 this year, and Joshua who is 34. Matt and Robin have Mary our granddaughter. In our house the cats rule and we are their staff. I enjoy teaching art to kids, but want to do more of my own art. Mostly, I am a survivor and, as the late MFK Fisher said, "I live with carpe diem engraved on my heart."

Activities

Mostly I work my fanny off. Thankful to teach art at a good school in a very urban Atlanta system. I am involved with the High Museum and the Alliance Theater. In years past I was very involved with my Synagogue, alas it is something I need to get back to having allowed the world to overtake my best intentions. Bruce and I exercise, and generally have fun...he is my best friend.

Favorite Charities

What would I do if I won the lottery? Give to liberal causes, be one of those names on PBS....I donate clothes when they call, go and buy someone else's another day.

Everything from Mozart to Mattisyahu. My mood is what dictates the music I listen to.
